22″ displays are useless

Here’s the point: most if not all the 22″ displays have a resolution of 1680×1050, precisely the same resolution of most of the 20″ displays. That means that buying a 22″ won’t add any real estate but only take some extra money out of your pocket.

22″ might be useful for people that need to see everything in huge size. In that case you’ll appreciate fonts set to 12px looking like they’re 16px.

P.S. - On the other hand, a 22″ display with a 1900×1200 resolution (equal to 24″ displays) would be amazing.

    Actually, I bought a Dell 2009WFP very recenty. I went for the Dell 20″ because I already have a 24″ display on my iMac and I can testify that those 4 extra inches don’t matter that much to me :-)

    Eu tenho um imac de 24′’ e um dell 2408WFP e posso assegurar que n os trocaria por nada.. 24′’ e’ o tamanho certo! :)
