Take a look at the price discrepancies between Dell Portugal and Dell Spain when buying a 20″ UltraSharp monitor (2009WFP)

Portugal: €269.00 + VAT (20%)
Spain: €249.63 (16% VAT included)

So, excluding VAT, the 2009WFP is approximately 22% cheaper in Spain.

Dell: it should be the other way around.

    Que contas sao essas ? em portugal sem iva custa 215 (269*0,8) e em espanha 209 (249*0,84). Da 3% de diferença, 6 euros.

    Wow, you’re right, I guess this is the Dell way of doing things. Nuno your math is a bit off: In portugal the price listed is before VAT (269). In Spain the price before VAT would be (249.63/1.16)=215.19

    I think he compared both the prices with vat included (322 euros in PT versus 249.63 in spain)…or am i just sleepy? ;o)

    Either way, just a quick comment! As far as i know, the “VAT Tax” in Portugal is still 21%, at least until June or July.
