Microsoft vs Yahoo! II

Monday is on and emails start popping out of nowhere as everyone has an insight on the merger.
Here’s a great quote from Barry Ritholtz about how it all boils down to trust:
“Back to our issue of Trust: I know of no one that unreservedly trusts Microsoft. Plenty of people still trust Yahoo!. Google, like Apple, is widely trusted.“
Let me tell you something Mr. Barry Ritholtz. You should come to Portugal. Here, on the land of Microsoft, contracts are done without being subject or regulated by the law. Our Government doesn’t even consider competition upon signing a new contract. Here, MSFT Portugal was considered to be the best subsidiary of 2007. Guess why?
So, well, to our pity, there are plenty of people here in Portugal that unreservedly trust Microsoft. Shame on them.
If all around the world it’s any different, which I thoroughly believe it is, than this merger happens to be doomed. Right from the start.
