MSc in Open Source?

I’ll have to second Alcides Fonseca and Gustavo Felisberto.
This is truly a dumb idea. It’s like creating an MSc in proprietary software.
Much more interesting would be creating a common platform between all the IT degrees in Portugal to promote, indulge and support Free/Open Source Software. By supporting FOSS, students can actually learn from the best source of all, the source code, as well as cope and interact with the programming community by submitting their contributions. Furthermore, this leverages the problem of piracy amongst students.
Sidenote: To all the pundits that support teaching what the industry needs (like, industry needs .NET, hence teach .NET), good programmers will always be able to learn whatever language you present them with.

“[…]good programmers will always be able to learn whatever language you present them with.”
True… really.
