Don’t search (or use) NetworkSolutions!

Welcome to corporationism and being ripped off. Ethically distasteful to say the least.
Do the following:
- Search a weird domain on GoDaddy to make sure the domain is available. I used yousuckbastards.com
- Now search for that very same weird domain on NetworkSolutions. It will show up as AVAILABLE, assuming that the previous whois result was available as well;
- Now go back to GoDaddy and search again for the domain. TAKEN! And now NetworkSolutions is asking up to 4x than the original price of the domain.
- Profit!
So NetworkSolutions is using a Domain Sniper company to snipe the search results. Read here for more details.
I do hope they get sued up their asses!

Not really… they use a “feature” provided to registars that allows them to “keep” the domain for 5 days… if you don’t decide to buy, the domain will be avaiable after this time… Although I find that very uncool, there’s a lot of registars doing that…
I’m certainly not very fond of GoDaddy, but have never done such a thing at least AFAIK.
