Interesting how they don’t “bash” on Django… it’s funny because the official wiki of the RoR guys acknowledges Django to be faster… :) hehe

Django is a nice framework and so is Python, but I believe Rails to be a little bit more productive. Is a more mature framework which is why is normal to be more complete and productive.
But yes, it’s still terribly slow and it’s a pain in the ass to scale. In that scenario, Symfony (PHP) or Django (Python) are better alternatives for the time being. I do hope though Rails 2.0 and Ruby 1.9 to chance it.
