Note to self: avoid this shortcut

This “shortcut” cost us 3 extra hours and contact with USA Army Police on Federal Property protected by aircraft and with body outlines on the ground.

Apart from that, it’s the second time we take the Highway 1 from Los Angeles to San Francisco and let me tell you it’s a wonderful landscape for site seeing.

    Haha, that sounds like fun. What happened, you drove by and saw crazy stuff going on?

    I love taking the 1 up the coast, it’s great drive from L.A :)

    Daniel,

    I didn’t see a lot of crazy stuff (besides the outline of a body in the middle of a night on a road that goes uphill and downhill every second and has plenty of curves and is pretty scary!) but coming to a white gate full of STOP signs and others kind of scared the heck out of me. Federal property meant if anything was wrong I’d be judged in federal court and would be “taken care of” by federal police. It seemed I was entering Area 51 or some nuclear launch pads in Nevada :-)

    Anyway, it’s the second time I take the 1 and it’s really great. We tried to rent a Mustang but we were out of luck so we got a… *emotion* red Toyota Sonara. Probably one of th ugliest.. cars.. ever! Apart from that, amazing!
