Engineers are not architects

In the real estate world, civil engineers have a strong belief they can replace architects. Well, in theory, they can. In practice, buildings not designed by an architect usually have a dull and boring appearance. They might be functional but they’re ugly and distasteful.
In the internet, some webmasters believe they can replace designers. It’s as bad as engineers believing they can replace architects. Well, let me tell you something: you can’t.
So basically I saw a very nice website being completely ruined by the webmaster because he thought he had more skills in logos and headers. Colors are now dull and resemble something from the 90s.
I’d like to align with the web designers here (I’m a webmaster myself). If a webmaster wants to ruin your work please punch him in the face for me. Thanks.

Damn, that’s so true!
I wish it wasn’t! Web designers serve their amazing purpose and should not be detracted from that by a webmaster.
