How a mobile phone can be destructive

This is the third Monday in a row that starts quite badly. I’m starting to get the “Mondayness fear”.
I rely on my mobile phone running Windows Mobile to wake me up. I should know it better that you can’t simply rely on something made by Microsoft. The mobile phone was crashed since yesterday (the clock marked 17:54) but since I didn’t use it everything seemed just fine. The normal GSM light was flashing, you could turn on and off the screen and the “Today” page was there, as usual. But it was non responsive. Dead.
Basically, the mobile phone didn’t ring today. I woke up almost 3 hours later, I missed the bus (so I had to take my car) and I missed one appointment I had. Not only was bad for me but also for the environment.
In almost 10 years of using a mobile phone (Nokias, mainly) this is the first time one ever crashes. Of course, it had to be running Windows.

Well, probably, but I’ve been using Nokias for the last 10 years (never used the S60 series though) and I never had a crash!
Yeah, you would think OEMs would know better than to trust Microsoft’s alarm on their devices. Some people rely on alarms to take pills and other medical issues, WM sucks big time.
Get a clocky ! I’ll get one some day…
Get a REAL alarm clock… at least I need those lol
Sorry to hear that… it sucks when it happens…
Hey: get a Nokia E61i… looks interesting ;) (I’m gonna try to get one when I get to the US :))
Abraço
