Apple’s retail notebook sales up 94 percent in April

This doesn’t surprise me at all.

Macbooks/Macbook Pros are the coolest looking, rock-solid stable and great hardware (although I’ve now been noticing some quirks like the fact that the external output of the Macbook is extremely poor, even when plugged using a DVI connector).

Apple laptops are like a fridge. You don’t have to pray that the door closes and opens again. By the time you finish reopening the lid, the laptop is already back from suspend. Takes less than 1 second to be back from suspend. You run out of battery? A smooth suspend again. Everything just works (contrary to Windows and Linux laptops. Linux is, unfortunately, the worst performer in what concerns to the laptop world. True story? True story (sic)).

I’ve owned laptops from a lot of brands. Asus, HP, IBM, you name it. Apple was definitely the most slick and neat piece of hardware I’ve ever owned.

Full Disclosure: Long on AAPL
