Everyone makes mistakes — including Business Week

This analysis & comment from Cliff Edwards (Business Week) is so blatantly wrong that it turns to be quite amusing when we take a glance at the present.

Cliff predicted back in 2001 that Apple’s retail stores wouldn’t simply work. Based on what? Gateway’s bad experience.

Today, 2007, Apple retail stores are the most lucrative stores in the world in terms of revenue per square meter — ever.

It’s really a risk to make such predictions. Even worst is suggesting Steve Jobs so stop doing the thing no one else has the guts to do: Think Different. Would you trust Cliff as an analyst after such a wrong projection? I wouldn’t.
