What SuSE lacks..

Having used SuSE myself for a long time (since 8.2 through OpenSuSE 10.1) and now taking a look at the reviews about SLED 10 I can asure you this:
SuSE needs to fully migrate to APT-GET
Those YaST and ZENworks install managers are rubbish and suck a lot. Buggy and troublemaker. Keep it simple!
P.S. - That’s one of the big reasons why I don’t go back from Ubuntu to SuSE. I miss apt-get.

What you really miss are the Ubuntu/Debian repositories, not apt-get. So do I… I had to install MPlayer and had to track down every dependency.
Even so, you should not disregard ZENWorks if you don’t know it (which is how it looks like from your post).
