mt-daapd

Setting up mt-daapd, a DAAP (Digital Audio Access Protocolo) free implementation, along with rendezvous on Ubuntu is so damn easy that’s not even funny :-(
Here I am, enjoying my collection of music through iTunes and Rhythmbox all over my house.

Thanks, I hadn’t heard of this before - that’s really cool!
Though perhaps I should install something that lets my Linux box act as a server for my TiVo with the Home Media Option.
Once I get some time…
I’m glad you liked :-)
I have mt-daapd on my little NSLU2, but I was thinking the same thing … would be nice to have the Tivo and the XBOX 360 be able to play along. Twonky Media Player does that, but it’s not free, nor is it as lightweight as mt-daapd, so I think I’ll stick with what I have.
