Linux growing steady on Asia-Pacific
- Published May 6th, 2006 in Free Software, GNU/Linux

I’m glad to see the steady rise of GNU/Linux and Free/Open Source Software in the Asia-Pacific region. This article provides an insightful view about what’s going on countries like China, India, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, etc..
In conclusion, Linux adoption is healthy. Although not as ready for the desktop prime time as Mac OS X is, it has its advantages. On the first place it is Free/Open Source Software and on the server field, it’s unarguably faster than Mac OS X (no, the XNU/Mach kernel can’t be paired to Linux kernel)
