Apple’s iBook Intel x86 by January

Everyone’s expecting Steve Jobs (by the way, the man of the year in TIME’s) to announce Apple’s iBook Intel x86 on MacWorld Expo that will occur on January. And he will!. Why? Because this is the right time. Market is changing, Dell’s salles are dropping steady and there’s a tendency to buy computer gadgets during/after Christmas.

Update: it seems that Steve has tricked us again and has launched MacBook Pro instead. Nevertheless, I’m targeting April for the release of the new Intel iBook.

I, for one, am holding off from buying a laptop until i hear the news of MacWorld Expo… i was this close |—| to buy a ppc ibook, even though new macs would be coming out in july. But january isn’t that far away. ;) Let’s wait and see…

Supposedly the new ibooks will come in 13″ flavours.

We certainly do hope so! By that’s Steve, always hiding the secrets and throwing small rumours that usually leads us to the other way opposite.

This statement, about iBook being released on January, was one of them. Steve’s showed us MacBook instead!
